It produces good evenly browned toast and the ability to set 'between settings", effectively an extra half setting provides great flexibility. Having found every other toaster lacking I have been a long term watch the grill man but this has converted me. Bish, Bash Bosch and there's a perfect plate of toast ready to munch. |

In fact we were so disappointed we changed it for the same again to see if we were just unlucky (I hasten to add that Amazon were very good at getting a brand new exchange even though we had used it for 6 months). The new one was much the same, it toasts unevenly and if you put in anything other than dead square bread more often than not it jams at the finish. This is not a cheap toaster and it's a brand I trust, I feel thou roughly let down and has cast doubts on... |

A different heating element By: Bob, on August 20, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Over the years I have had numerous toasters they all had the same method of heating which was a single wire wrapped round and all did not make a very good job of evenly toasting. This one does have a different approach by having "rod elements" a bit like an electric bar fire where the elements are wound on a spiral in what looks like a ceramic rod. It does have the advantage of the element not being exposed and electrical hazard however the real question is does it toast better. The answer is... |
